Instructor Certification

Certification at The Center for Self Preservation Training is not the primary objective. The main focus is on Self Preservation. Training is seen as an independant entity outside of certification. We are training to survive, not get certified. However, there are those professionals in the martial arts/military/law enforcement community who would like to teach the ideology, techniques and training methods of the Center for Self Preservation Training. To officially do this requires certification. Certified Instructors officially teach the "Tactical Combatives" of their respective level of training they have recieved from C.S.P.T. and their certification will be varified by the C.S.P.T. if/as needed. Independant of that, they may also teach any other art or system as they see fit. They are not bound to the C.S.P.T. in any way nor do they pay any continual dues. This being the case, they may not operate as a Center for Self Preservation Training sattalite facility and they may not certify others in the name of C.S.P.T. They may certify others according to the training that they themselves provided to the individual at their facility according to their curriculum, policies and procedures. Those considering this must understand one thing, "you will EARN your certification". There are no politics. For those who are unable to train on a regular basis, all other experience will be taken into consideration on a case by case basis. It will, however, come down to the training. Moving from one level of instructorship to another is based solely on two things, ability and time. Between levels there will always be a "functionalization" period. It's not just about memorizing techniques or buzz words.

Ego will play no role in any part of the training/certification process. We are training for Self Preservation and the ego has no accord with this.

Those Certified as Instructors will be extremely knowledgable in Jeet Kune Do Concepts, The Filipino Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as well as a myriad of supporting arts including, but not limited to: Western Boxing, Savate, Dumog, Greco Roman as well as weapons up to and including Tactical Firearms. Their knowledge base will also include the unique methodologies developed by the C.S.P.T.

The C.S.P.T. strives to provide instructors with professional teaching credentials and ongoing support, training and education in Self Preservation.

"A dictatorship is a regime in which people quote instead of thinking."

-Ignazio Silone

"The dictator, in all his pride, is held in the grip of his agenda. He can go forward; he cannot go back. He must blood his hounds and show them sport, or else, be devoured by them. All strong without, he is all-weak within."
