Recently, a group of eight instructors from four different national academy and field training sites within the Department of Homeland Security trained with Demi Barbito. Our agency was searching for material for our Edged Weapon Defense program.

Demi and his training have heavily influenced our program. After working with Demi, we changed from static striking drills to very dynamic drills giving the officers practice at footwork and greater target acquisition. He has added to our control tactics with better leverage techniques for takedowns that also blend into our edged weapon counter tactics. His training stands up against progressive resistance and gives confidence in the training. Although Demi has tremendous knowledge and experience with multiple martial arts disciplines and other combat systems, he only gives you what works. I have no doubt that our program is one of the best in the nation because of working with Demi. I highly recommend Mr. Barbito as a source of knowledge that is not biased by martial art, sport, or fad.
